Local & Left is a Raleigh-area networking and referral community connecting local professionals who want to be more intentional about who we support, where we spend our money, and where we send our referrals.
The idea is to start small—approximately 10–15 founding members, generally with one person representing each referral category—and build a group centered around four things:
Grow our businesses. Build real relationships. Support intentionally. Give back locally. Have some fun doing it.
Hi! I'm Alex. I'm a Raleigh-area mortgage loan officer, a North Carolina native, and have called Raleigh home for about 20 years.
My wife and I have been together for 16 years, and we're now moms to a six-month-old daughter and three dogs. Community involvement has always been important to us—I previously helped run a local nonprofit in downtown Raleigh, and together we've fostered more than 50 dogs.
My career has shown me the power of relationships and referrals, while my life outside of work has shown me what can happen when people bring their time, resources, and connections together to support something they care about.
Local & Left is my attempt to bring those two things together.
